“I like your critical thinking, but you really need to be sure that the context is right, and that the facts support your guess. Reading the article is sometimes a good start.

Muslim countries ban the wearing of those items. Why not what is good for the goose is good for the gander?.
Exactly what I was going to say. I’m all for companies trying to be more ecologically sustainable… but I won’t support any of them who try to poison me with HFCS. Heinz ketchup didn’t use corn syrup at all a decade or two ago, so there’s no reason to have it now.And there are a ton of alternatives, so… *shrug* Nice try, Heinz.!

FTA: "The remote control from the XEL-1 was only 10mm thick." - ZOMG!!1! OLED tech seems awesome though.?
Wake me up when this actually impacts the performance of my Intel-based desktop machine, which when comparing actual price & performance mops the floor with anything AMD has out right now. I'm not loyal to either company - whichever produces the best product for my desktop gets my money, and since the C2D series it's been Intel all the way. I'm all for AMD leapfrogging, but I just haven't seen it yet. |

While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, "Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year's wages and the money given to the poor." And they rebuked her harshly."Leave her alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering her? As Freewheelin' Franklin sez, perfume will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no perfume." |
