| Remember, kids. That's "toxic zinc", as opposed to normal zinc. They're apparently two completely different elements, after a sufficient number of bong hits at the Greenpeace rally. You'll find "toxic zinc" on the Periodic Table right next to "carbon emissions" and "irony", in the "Elements Hippies Don't Understand" column. Here's a hint, Moonbeam. Go dig through your parents sofa for some pocket change. Find a penny made after 1982? That penny has more zinc in it than about 1,000 golf balls. Go back to your bong, and leave the soil chemistry to the grown-ups. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinc |

"An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience."

I approve. Its not like it's a widespread genocide / torture of monkies. It's a few handfuls of monkeys that will help scientists pave a way for all of this earth's creatures to get off this rock and inhabit the rest of the universe like the virus we are..

I'm 6'3", I'm not proud of it because all I did was live and grow, however I do find myself looking down upon you. |

as for the Philippines, one US citizen homicide per month in the 12th most populous country in the world is hardly "unsafe"

I once had a mostly wolf hybrid. An idiot friend of mine got him to guard his equipment van (he was a rock musician, 'nuff said). The friend realized that was a dumb idea and dropped the critter off at my house and never came back for him. He was a crazy critter. Big. Head like a bear. Golden eyes. 150 lbs. Jumped thru a closed window to get out. Another time, he took apart the door. He always came back, though, and he never growled or threatened me in any way. Finally had him fixed to calm him down. Worked like a charm. Turned him into a puppy. The only time he ever got violent was when he caught a burglar breaking into my house. Imagine what that thief thought when he came face to face with two and a half inch fangs. The guy pulled a knife. The wolf took him down. It was messy.I have to say, he was the smartest dog I ever had. He always knew my mood. He always seemed to now the intentions of strangers. His senses were so finely tuned, they seemed magical. Every day I had to hit him. Not because I wanted to. Because he wanted me to punch him in the side. I guess it was a pack order of dominance thing. Each morning, he'd press his head into my side, almost pushing me over. He keep doing it until I punched him. Then he'd lay down and roll over to expose his belly. Pack order established. I was the Alpha. He accepted it. Everything was in order in his world. If I skipped this ritual, he's whimper all day and refuse to eat. He had to know his place to be happy. His favorite thing after he was fixed was to run away at night, knowing that I would come looking for him. Then he'd stalk me, quietly. He'd always attack from behind. I'd only hear him coming a second before he would leap over my head (I'm 6'1"), snapping his teeth at my hair, or taking my hat right off my head in winter. Then he'd land in front of me, happy like a puppy, tail wagging, smiling the way dogs smile.I could go on and on, but I did have some wonderful times with him. And, I loved to sit out at night and howl with him. It touched my spirit. |
